Don't call it a plug

SHOPPERS, a band near and dear to my heart, have undertaken their first ever West Coast tour. They'll be unleashing their unique brand of "hold me down, fuck my mouth/think of you when I touch myself" Syracuse melodic noise punk at the Smell next Tuesday. Come out, support your local punk bands, bring vegan baked goods, shotgun a beer, smash a urinal, etc.
To prep you for what is sure to be a great opener to 2012, I offer you their discography, including last year's debut LP that cemented their spot as my "best groomed band" of 2011. Make sure to check the tour dates HERE.

Crass - The Feeding of the 5000 (Crassical Collection)

Download

Yo, my friends got locked out of the station last week but they'll be back this Saturday doing a Crass & Subterranean records night. Listen HERE 6-8 PM PST Saturday.
Anyway, I was pretty skeptical about these "Crassical collection" reissues but it sounds amazing! If you've heard this record a billion times like I have, be prepared for your ears to perk up. Wear a nice pair of headphones. I didn't upload any of the extra stuff they tacked onto this release because it was poor quality, both in terms of music and sound.

Shoppers - Silver Year

Download

When did this band become so famous?? Why have so many people been asking me for this??? I just hope that Syracuse's favorite noise punk trio doesn't forget me in their rock star glory. New & old material of manic, shrill vocals, distortion that feels like putting your ear through a meat grinder, and audible drumming (a first for Shoppers).
Buy the LP HERE and if you're geographically fortunate enough, catch them on tour HERE.

Bratmobile - Pottymouth

Innocent little girls turn you on, don't they?

Pissed Jeans - Your Life Is Worth Pissed Jeans

Download

New two song 7" from one of my favorite contemporary bands.

Bratmobile - The Real Janelle

Download

This EP is pretty much the reason I ever got into music. Allison Wolfe, will you marry me?

Shoppers - Goodbye To All That

Download

Nah, sorry this isn't a new Fucked Up 7" on the rockstar label Matador or a rehashed LP by Sonic Youth that nobody is going to listen to but they'll still say it's one of their favorite albums of the year (coincidentally also on Matador). This is real Syracuse DIY (insert whatever prefix you'd like here) punk: self recorded, self produced, super distorted on tapes that sell out so fucking fast you can't even get them fucking punk. In before they put out a split on Youth Attack and hook up with Albini and it's suddenly cool to say you like their older stuff better.

Samhain Discography.

Part three of Glenn Danzig's selected discography: the Samhain trilogy.

SAMHAIN was a band formed by Glenn Danzig in 1983 following the breakup of the Misfits. First album is somewhat similar to Misfits' later work but by their last album Samhain would branch off into their own deathrock/goth metal world shrouded in the occult and heavy drug use. Eventually Danzig and bassist Eerie Von would split from the guitarist and drummer to form Danzig.
There is another Samhain release but I won't bother posting it since it's not very good.

Misfits Discography (Part 2)

Part two of Glenn Danzig's selected discography: Misfits singles, b-sides, and live.

This is probably the fourth time I've done this I hope it's the last because it's a pain in the ass.

Download

Zip containing the following (I guess I could have posted individual album covers but that would have been obnoxious):
Cough/Cool 7" (1977)
Horror Business 7" (1979)- Only the songs Horror Business and Children in Heat
Night Of The Living Dead 7" (1979) - Only the songs Where Eagles Dare and Rat Fink
3 Hits From Hell EP (1981)
Halloween 7" (1981)
Legacy Of Brutality (1985) - Only the songs Who Killed Marilyn? and American Nightmare
Collection II (released in 1995 but the song was recorded in the 80s) - Mephisto Waltz
Box Set Disc 3 (released in 1996 but the song was recorded in the 80s) - Spook City U.S.A.

If you download this along with the previously posted Misfits album, you are now the proud owner of (presumably) at least one version of every studio recorded Misfits track with Glenn Danzig. I'm sure there are some tracks I'm missing but who's keeping track?

Evillive

Download

The only official live recording with Danzig on vocals. Was originally released as an EP but was later released as a proper album in '87 with additional tracks. Originally recorded in 1981 in New York and San Francisco. This version of "We Are 138" features Henry Rollins of Black Flag.

Misfits discography (Part 1)

Part one of Glenn Danzig's selected discography: all of the Misfits' LPs.

Misfits - Static Age (1978)

Download

This is the first Misfits record but it wasn't released until 1997. Danzig had started his own label called Blank Records, which he released the Cough/Cool single through. Turns out another label came atfer called Blank and in order to not get sued by Danzig they offered him 30 recording hours in their studio. Static Age was recorded with that time but no label was willing to release it, and the record was eventually shelved due to a couple of members leaving the band.

Walk Among Us (1982)

Download

The band's first proper LP features the traditional "horror punk" sound. Kitschy lyrics with b-movie references.

Earth A.D. (1983)

Download

The final TRUE Misfits record featured a more "hardcore" shift. Very noisy, quick, and gory. The original issue is only about 14 minutes long but this is a reissue with the Die, Die My Darling EP included.

Think of me when you touch yourself tonight

LISTEN,
This is a band from New York called SHOPPERS. Their first tape rules and you didn't listen to it, but that's okay because it's in the archives. This is a new song from their upcoming tape called Goodbye To All That, it should be out by the end of the month. If you are on the east coast you can check them out live this coming week.
Check them out here for more info.
