Korla Pandit - The Universal Language Of Music, Volume 1

Download

We're going with an Indian theme for the weekly Corndog Castle Exotica party. Mint Chutney Juleps are on the house.

Korla Pandit was actually John Redd, a Southern black man who passed himself off as Indian after many failed attempts at a music career. The mystic Indian organist ruse worked and he became an overnight star, securing a television show with KTLA. Besides his ivory strokes, Pandit was best known for his Medusa-like gaze and a self-imposed vow of silence that kept him shrouded in mystery. Please note, the man narrating this record is not Pandit.
