Kvelertak - Westcoast Holocaust

Download.

What, you've never heard of KVELERTAK??? That's okay because I just found out about them yesterday, but rest assured they will be a household name by the end of 2010. Kvelertak are a Norwegian band (the name means STRANGLEHOLD) playing their own catchy brand of trashy, crusty, black metal (and I use the term very loosely), or what they like to call "necro'n'roll."
This is a 3 year old demo (tracks one and six are missing, SORRY) that I haven't even listened to, and is probably nowhere near as good as their new self-titled album is going to be. Artwork is by John Baizley (Baroness), produced by Kurt Ballou (Converge), and features a bunch of guests including Ryan McKenney (Trap Them) and the guy from JR Ewing. If that doesn't give you a raging boner for this band, you're in dire need of Viagra. Do yourself a favor and download this, go check out the new tracks here, and when everyone starts raving about this band after they get signed to Deathwish you can act like it's no big deal.

Thanks for posting this! I was looking everywhere for it. Oh, and by the way, this is a statement from Justin Bartlett's site; "P.S. KVELERTAK does not actually mean OWL PENIS in Norwegian. That was just a joke which some people actually believed to be true!!! It means STRANGLEHOLD."

Is this an album cover for this band (the lower image)? If not, where did you get it?! Who's the artist?

@N. Thanks for clearing that up!

Justin, the bottom image is the art for their upcoming debut. It's out on June 21. The artist is John Baizley. He's in the band BARONESS and has done a ton of amazing artwork for his band as well as Skeletonwitch, Kylesa, Pig Destroyer, and a bunch more.
